I have been a therapist for over ten years and have worked in a variety of settings including outreach, group and office based counseling.
Being in private practice in a group setting has always been my professional goal and now here I am sharing it with the best two women I could have chosen. Collaborating together helps us to continue to grow as clinicians and maintain the support necessary to continue to provide quality care.
My clinical focus is on the family unit. I see couple for relationship counseling, parenting skills training, communication skills building and psycho-education regarding children, adolescents, teens, relationship skills and other various topics. I also see individual clients to address their specific needs, which often stem from their family of origin. Exploring one's history, especially trauma can help begin the stages of processing related emotions and changing the way they influence daily functioning and coping mechanisms.
I have been specifically trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy at the Beck Institue within Assumption College. This education enables me to help people to learn how to redirect their negative thought patterns, which often lead to sadness, depression, and other symptoms which contribute to poor mental health.
In addition to individual and family counseling, I also offer group therapy. Group therapy is an excellent way to gain support and learn new coping skils. Click here to see what groups are being offered right now.
I am also a certified Divorce Mediatior. If you would like to learn more about mediation click here.
I look forward to meeting you!
